Charlee Rae Newborn Photos
Sorry for the delay to all my friends and family that have been asking to see Charlee’s newborn photo session. We have been quite a bit behind at getting things out lately. I mean… we do have a new baby and everything.

Finally getting this up… It has been crazy around here since we had little Charlee show up. But after a long wait… Say hi to Courtney and Brandon Cox. It’s official.
Details, details, details… Cassandra did an Amazing job planning out how to decorate the reception hall at the Billings Depot. I have never seen so many old beautiful items in one place. They even painted an antique dresser to match the wedding color pallet. From the vintage wedding dress, to the travel decorations and the amazing food this wedding was stunning.
Last week we finally made it out to take Heather’s Maternity Photos. We are a bit late to the game, we are already officially on baby watch. Heather has been a trooper as always. Pregnancy doesn’t sit entirely well with her body. Thank you to my sweet wife for enduring with courage the development of our third child inside her body. Man that is so amazing when you think about it. As with our previous two, we are growing little future soccer players, they kick like crazy and do the mambo #5… all night long.
Say hello to Melissa and Chris. Last week we took a road trip to Glendive Montana to have an engagement photos session with these two. When I first met Melissa she was only 6 years old, and she new every Disney channel theme song by heart. She is the younger sister of my lovely wife, Heather, and the baby of their family. I can’t believe this day has come.
Say hello to Cassandra and James. They traveled from Eastern Montana and North Dakota to spend a cold evening with us. They are getting married in Billings this summer and we wanted to have the chance to meet them face to face before the wedding. To us, not much is more enjoyable than an engagement photography session. They are so relaxed and full of the most fun available. We had been watching the weather for weeks trying to plan the trip around the ever disappearing sun. Eventually we just decided to set a date regardless of what happened. Wouldn’t you know it, we had sun the day before and after, but gloomy city the day of our photo shoot.
Well I failed as a father, no just as a photographer, well really … I failed as an instruction giver. Like many times before, Heather saw something she liked on Pinterest. It was a gender reveal by way of confetti balloon pop. Seamed simple enough I thought. Boy was I ever wrong.
As promised here is a behind the scenes look at how we created the above sweet “froggy” pose with baby Kennidee.
During a break from her sister’s newborn photography session, Makayla enjoyed some play time in front of the camera. We were snapping some simple portraits and she broke out into a cute game of peekaboo. What a doll.
After waiting for what always seams like a lifetime, our beautiful niece Kennidee, made the trip to our home over the holidays to have her newborn pictures taken. What a fantastic Christmas gift. I had a bit of a cold before they came so I had to keep my distance during the session. It was lots of “han-atizer” -as my kids call it- and hands off, which of course killed me not to getting to hold the baby. As luck would have it my amazing wife Heather stepped in as baby wrangler extraordinaire.
